Product Description
Adhesive and Reinforcing Mortar Lightweight -EPS- is a high-yield, factory-made, water-repellent, mineral dry mortar based on white cement, mortar group P II according to DIN V 18550, CS II according to DIN EN 998-1.
Lightweight Adhesive and Reinforcing Mortar -EPS- is suitable for bonding organic (e.g., polystyrene) and mineral insulation boards (e.g., mineral wool boards), as well as for embedding  reinforcing mesh onto insulation boards, especially for External Thermal Insulation Composite Systems (ETICS). Furthermore, Lightweight Adhesive and Reinforcing Mortar -EPS is suitable for reworking sound or appropriately pre-treated existing plaster, cracked plaster facades, or as a plaster bonding agent on smooth concrete surfaces, grooved and rough XPS boards (Styrodur), wood wool boards, etc., for the subsequent application of lime, lime-cement, or cement plasters.

Composition
Adhesive and Reinforcing Mortar Light -EPS- consists of:
Graded and dried carbonate or silicate natural sands
White cement
Hydrated lime
Organic lightweight aggregate (EPS)
Additives to improve workability, adhesion, and water repellency

Application
Suitable for:
Bonding organic insulation boards (e.g., EPS / Styrofoam)
Bonding mineral insulation boards (e.g., mineral wool panels)
Embedding reinforcement mesh on insulation boards

Also suitable for:
Renovating load-bearing or pretreated old plasters
Cracked plaster façades
Acting as an adhesion bridge on:
Smooth concrete surfaces
Ribbed or rough XPS boards (Styrodur)
Wood wool boards

For subsequent application of:
Lime plaster
Lime-cement plaster
Cement plaster

Substrate Requirements
The substrate must be:
Clean, dry, firm, and load-bearing
Free from efflorescence and separating agents

Additional requirements:
Test adhesion on critical substrates
Remove loose plaster and paint residues
Roughen smooth-surfaced insulation boards (especially XPS) and clean them

Application Instructions
Mixing
Can be applied using plastering machines, continuous mixers, or manually
For manual mixing:
Mix one bag with approx. 6 L of clean water
Stir until lump-free
Allow short maturation time, then remix

Bonding Insulation Boards
Apply adhesive using:
Perimeter bead + dot method (Wulst-Punkt) OR
Full-surface method (depending on system approval)
Immediately place boards tightly and press onto substrate
Ensure proper alignment (level and plumb)
Do NOT apply adhesive into board joints"
