About this item
Plaster/quartz primer is a quartz-containing adhesion promoter, primarily used on uneven substrates for leveling and thick-layer pre-treatment in interior and exterior applications. It is also suitable as a preparation layer for subsequent coatings such as rubbed plasters, mineral finishing plasters, and similar materials. Plaster primer is vapor-permeable and weather-resistant in accordance with VOB, Part C, DIN 18363 (painting and coating works).
Application
Used to improve adhesion for finishing coats made of mineral dispersion, silicate, and silicone plasters. Plaster/quartz primer reduces and equalizes the absorbency of the substrate and enhances bonding with corresponding finishing plasters.
Substrate
The substrate must be clean, dry, grease-free, and load-bearing. Old coatings that do not adhere properly must be removed. The surface must be fully cured and dried. Sandy or dusty substrates should be pre-treated with suitable primers. Suitable substrates include gypsum, lime, and cement-based plasters without coatings, provided they are clean and dry.
