10mm Plastic Screw Fixing is designed for the mechanical fixing of thermal insulation materials, including polystyrene and mineral wool. Whether used in external wall insulation systems or other construction applications, it provides a secure and efficient fixing solution.
Sizing and Quantities

Application
10mm Plastic Screw Fixing is pre-assembled for ease of use—simply insert and drive. It features a short anchoring zone (25mm for substrate categories A–D and 45mm for E), making installation quicker with less drilling. The pin, made from glass fibre-reinforced polyamide, includes a notched tip that compresses slightly in hard materials, reducing resistance and preventing breakage. Compatible with TDW pressure plates and suitable for surface.
Drill a hole directly perpendicular to the surface of the substrate and clear it out.
Create a countersink recess with a router/cutter for the assembly.
Position the connector in the hole, ensuring the anchor plate is level with the EWI/ETICS indented layer.
Install the connector pin by screwing it in.
Insert a thermo dowel cap.
Ensure the fixing is correctly positioned and sealed.
